International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association (IDGCA) was created in Russian Federation in 2001 with the assistance of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
IDGCA Charter and symbol are registered by the decision of the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation under numbers 21578000775 from 31.08.15 and 565-д from 01.04.15.

In July 2004 by the decision of UNECE Sub-Committee of Experts on the transport of dangerous goods IDGCA was granted the consultative status in the ECOSOS Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods and on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.
